Since the beginning of the year I've been "working" on a painting for a friend of mine whose ROTC commander flew B-17's at the end of WW2. It's almost July and I still haven't actually started the painting yet.

Working from the concept of "if I have a photograph of it, I can paint anything", I've been building a 3D model in my computer of the plane, and from there I'll generate an image that I can paint from. I've done this before and it worked out fairly well, you can see an example here.
